Information we collect
- Contact and order information: your name, email, telephone number, billing and delivery addresses, products ordered, transaction details and order history.
- Payment information: payment status, payment method and transaction references. Payment providers process the payment credentials you enter at checkout.
- Information you choose to share: account details, support messages, feedback, reviews and information about your cat that you provide when asking for help.
- Website information: IP address, browser and device information, pages visited, interactions and cookie identifiers collected through our storefront and Shopify.
We collect information directly from you, automatically through the store, and from providers involved in payments, delivery and operating the website. You can browse without placing an order, but we need certain details to process purchases or respond to requests. Please do not send unnecessary sensitive personal information.
How we use information
We use information to process and deliver orders, provide customer support, manage returns and refunds, maintain accounts where available, communicate about purchases, secure our store, detect fraud, understand website performance and meet legal, tax and accounting obligations. Where you agree to receive marketing, we also use your contact details to send EarthPaws news and offers.
Who receives information
We share relevant information with Shopify, payment providers, delivery and fulfilment providers, and service providers assisting with customer communications, website operation and business administration, as needed for those services. We may also disclose information to professional advisers or authorities where reasonably necessary or legally required, or in connection with a business transfer subject to appropriate safeguards.
Shopify powers this store. It processes information to operate the storefront and checkout and may process information for its own purposes when you use Shopify services such as Shop or Shop Pay. Read Shopify’s Consumer Privacy Policy for its practices and choices.
Cookies and your choices
Our storefront uses cookies and similar technologies for features such as remembering your cart, security and understanding website use. Where optional analytics or advertising technologies are enabled, applicable consent requirements and your available privacy choices apply. Use any privacy controls displayed on the store, or your browser settings, to manage cookies. Blocking essential cookies may affect checkout or other features.
You can unsubscribe from marketing emails using their unsubscribe link or by contacting us. This does not stop essential order, delivery or service messages. Shopify also provides choices through its privacy portal.
Overseas processing
Although we are based in Australia, our technology providers operate internationally. Shopify’s services may involve processing in Singapore, Canada, the United States and other locations where Shopify and its providers operate. See Shopify’s Privacy Policy for further information. We take reasonable steps required by applicable law when handling personal information through overseas providers.
Security and retention
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information against misuse, loss and unauthorised access or disclosure. No internet service is completely secure. We retain information for as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described here, including resolving disputes and meeting record-keeping obligations, and then take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it where appropriate.
Access, corrections and complaints
Email meow@earthpaws.com to request access to or correction of your information, ask about deletion, or raise a privacy concern. We may need to verify your identity. Some records must be retained by law, and available rights depend on applicable law. If we cannot fulfil a request, we will explain why.
We will investigate privacy complaints and respond within a reasonable time. If you are dissatisfied, you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner, where it has jurisdiction.

We may update this policy as our services or legal requirements change and will show the updated date above. Third-party websites linked from our store have their own privacy practices.
